Step Up To The Plate with YSC
Every day, more than 30 young adults hear the words, “You have breast cancer.”
Over 13,000 young adults age 40 and under are diagnosed with breast cancer in the U.S. each year — that’s more than one diagnosis every hour.
For a young adult, those words shatter everything. It’s more than a diagnosis. It’s a life completely disrupted.
That’s why we’re stepping up to the plate with the Congressional Women's Softball Game. Every swing tells a story. Every pitch carries a purpose.
Be the reason no young adult faces breast cancer alone. Your support matters!
Breast cancer looks different for young adults:
➡️ They are generally diagnosed with more aggressive forms of breast cancer with higher fatality rates.
➡️ They face fertility issues disrupting plans for children, with many facing lifelong family planning decisions while still dating.
➡️ They face early menopause triggered by treatments, causing debilitating health side effects and cognitive impairments.
➡️ They face significant psychological distress causing anxiety and depression with limited mental health support.
➡️ They face treatment side effects and body image changes that impact intimacy and relationships.
➡️ There is systemic racism, gender discrimination, and language barriers faced by marginalized communities and LGBTQ+ survivors.
Breast cancer doesn’t wait until you’re older. That’s why YSC exists and why your support matters.
Give today to make a difference right now.
